In acme's chair.
Carefully chosen chassis, colour scheme and hidden cables, or just hide it all away inside the case never to be seen again?

Im certainly not anal about it, but a tidy wiring/cable job and some matching colour componenets is about as far as I go.

it matters to me quite a lot

- im thinking of getting a different motherboard and ram which match the rig better

- but i wouldnt go as far as to spend £450 for the white-pcb graphics card from kfa2

Neat and tidy for good airflow and ease of access.
Then the sides go on and the internal are not seen again until the normal six monthly view and clean.

As long as the case is pretty and it all works fine im a happy bunny.

No messing around with LED Fans and fancy cables, Though if i had a windowed case this would more than likely change.

i guess that is what GPU backplates and/or aftermarket GPU coolers are for eh..?

Personally i built my rig using just standard modular cables and half arsed cable management, and now 8 months later i find myself buying bitfenix alchemy cables, white LED fans, white cathodes and other bits and pieces.

Similar to this - went for the nzxt phantom because I like the look of it, and my first build I did some minor cable management - dont like cables all over the show.

Despite never owning and never wanting to own a case with a window it would drive me mad knowing the internals clashed!

I especially hate mixing PCB colours. All black tyvm.

Nice case, tidy cables and some sparingly used led lights as my case has now a side window :D...that's pretty much it
