Dishwasher not working....any plumbers advise?

First thing to check and nine times outta ten esp. with a dishwasher is the waste pipe. The nature of the beast is it with clog up with .... well waste and cause a high water level fault within the machine. Remove the lower spray bar, drain cover and look for a rubber flap, lift and try work something down the tube ie. a piece of wire, boil a kettle and pour some hot water plus clean fluid ie. bleach then retry after a while.

You'd really do that? That's low.

Edit : I still can't believe you've suggested this. If you're going to do something that foul, then why not just hold a knife to the repair guy's throat and force him to do the repair for free, then pay him costs for the part. Or don't pay. Or make him empty his wallet. Or just find out where he lives and smash the window of his van and take anything that might be the right part.

I was thinking the same thing.

Using someone's time to evaluate your problem for free to then do it yourself.

Wasting their time and money to get to you.

...Baffled.

Sir the first thing i said was "call a bloke." No i wouldn't actually do that. its not worth my time personally to attempt the repair. it was for this guy who said he wa short on cash.

As for the rest of your analogy, little too far i think.:D
