Find me this board chip

How can you be sure that the fried chip is the same as the other one?

Sadly, I can't be! Haven't got the original board design so can't identify and it's simply a guessing game at the moment.

Bugger, was afraid, I too found blank EPROM's, but was hoping a guru could find one.

What's it from? Can't you look for a knackered board being sold for spares and nick the components?

How do you know a replacement won't go up in smoke too? :p

That is it, I won't know until I try! and no, this is the only board I have, no spares, nothing. I am to contact the manufacturer (Korea) in hope that they will supply me with a new board.

As it stands, it's a total guess game, I could put a new blank EPROM chip on hoping it's treated as RAM, but something a little further down the line go pop.

Who knows!

What is the board from?

Even if you do find one, would you be able to swap them over? Those small surface mount things are very difficult to do with a soldering iron.
