Is there anywhere you can rent a car for a track day that doesn't cost £500+?
200 quid for the day would be nice![]()

buy something cheap and fun for £250-300
rag the pants off it all day, weigh it in at the scrap yard on the way home for a £100 return.![]()

What could possibly go wrong?
for the whole thing? Some track days cost that much on there own!

What does it matter if you blow it up half way around the track anyway if your going to scrap it on the way home

I'd be more concerned about my own safety ragging around a £250 car more so than it breaking down![]()
I've done almost 2 years and 15k miles in a car I paid £100 for and it's cost me nothing other than consumables, and a throttle cable.

Track days are £200ish in your own car. No way you could hire one for that.
This.
And there's the deposit too - be prepared to hand over your credit card with a mandate for £2,000+ to be taken if you have an accident.
Presumably this includes if someone else crashes into you.
The stoppage and mess ****es off everybody else who's there to take it a bit more seriously and have prepared their cars properly![]()
