How likely is your car to pass an MOT

Going by the car makes it does seem quite stereotypical

The Germans are slightly above average
The Japanese are quite a bit above average
The french are rubbish

for a 19 year old car i think thats very good

Ford Scorpio 50.5% - brakes and suspension most common failure (not suprising as they eat front wishbones and hand breaks sieze)

Lexus LS400 73%

No data for Westfields :(

The garage that I use generally have a quick once over and tell you if they know it will fail, then they work on those areas before doing the proper test.

My 2004 CV8 just passed with zero advisories. 69.8% pass rate apparently.

1998 Nissan Primera 45% pass rate. Ive owned for 5 years and passed every time. It's a shame you can not filter to individual models.

It's also pretty obvious that the newer cars are going to have a lot higher pass rates.
