Quidco / Topcashback - What are your views?

Top cash back is useless. I have used it on 3 occasions now and all 3 failed to track, so I go 0 money back. I have given up with it now, I'd rather pay the £5 fee for Quidco, at least it works.

Have been using Quidco for years and have never had a transaction fail. Made a fair bit back when I used to shop online at M&M Direct. I used to place orders for mates and put it through Quidco to make a small profit :).

Topcashback works a lot more smoothly for me. I lost my password for my quidco account and never acessed my old email and Quidco on a number of emails couldn't help me so I just moved top TCB.

Never had one failed transaction with both TCB & QC.

I use them for most things I buy online, even if its just a small percent cashback it all adds up over time.
I usually use another browser and clear histroy/cookies before each purchase and tracking has been bang on.

Constantly use Quidco. I get money back for car and home insurance as well as insurance for our two cats.
In fact one year due to the cashbacks I ended up paying £10 for each cat for a year.

CD's, DVD's - you name it and I get something back. Never had a "claim" rejected and they pay me monthly.

Find it didn't always work for me in the past so I kind of stopped bothering really as I couldn't be arsed to keep emailing and chasing people over usually what was a few quid. Definitely a good idea though as some of the deals like on mobile contract cashback is very good.

I've got over a couple of hundred quid from topcashback. I've done nothing at all differently from how I normally shop. I always look for the cheapest deal online, once I find it I take a look on TCB to see if they have a cashback offer. If they do then I can go via their website and make a tidy profit for no extra hassle.

It does indeed seem too good to be true but I've cashed in the money with no fuss.

I have a had several things not track correctly, but I put in a claim with all the info and a few weeks/months later the money ends up in my account no questions asked.

The only way I can see people running into problems is when people buy things and take the cashback into consideration in the price. This exactly what TCB say NOT to do on their website.

I can't see where people think it's too much hassle.

Like others have said, I search for the best price form a trusted vendor (as do most people) and then check if they're on Quidco. If they are, I continue the transaction through Quidco. If they aren't, I buy as normal. Can't see where the hassle is in that

Tried using Quidco once complete waste of time never tracked never got my money which would have been quite a lot Quidco were utterly useless in chasing it up they couldn't care less honestly. Which seems to be lot of peoples experiance.

Never tried TCB but I've heard better things of it.

I've got back just under £400 from quidco in 3 years, so yes it's definitely worth it.

Never had any issues either, I did have one payment that was slow to track, so I sent a request through to support to confirm it went through and within the week I had two trackings for this cashback and got paid twice!

It was a "sign up to a casino and wager £20, get £35 back", so I got £70 for £20 :).

Well you're doing it wrong

never had any problems just over £140 in a year

I use Quidco and have registered a few cards with them, there is an addon for firefox that will tell you if a site has Quidco available.

Its not the deals its the 5-8% you get back from just clicking a link or in the case of registered card just going to the shop and buying your usual items.

I 'made' £250 last year, and have £180 this year. Took me 5 mins to add a card and 5 to install the addin, that's it. I don't even bother checking my account as its free money so not fussed if things don't track.

I rarely use their 'Deals' though.

I haven't used quidco that much (I don't buy that much stuff) but I've accrued about £45 from them (paid directly into my account). It was literately a matter of going to quidco, clicking through to the website and buying what I wanted.

It takes maybe 10 seconds longer than it would if I wasn't to use quidco and I get free money. Woo!

For me it's a different experience... I search for the best price from a retailer I'm happy to deal with, I find it on Quidco, I laugh at the horrible offer and I go buy it elsewhere.

Everything I've looked at on Quidco was high markup stuff, and I'd use it as a rule of thumb that if I was getting it on Quidco then I was getting ripped off.

I think the exception is sign ups - be it cashback on a new creditcard or on a Sky/Virgin subscription or insurance. I still found insurance cheaper than on Quidco, I don't have TV, and Noddle and MoneySavingExpert have come up with better financial deals than Quidco.

Your doing it wrong. You buy from the places you want at the deal you want but use Quidcos referral link. You literally lose nothing. not even time if you have the addin.

Registering your card means normal shopping gets you money too, so no time involved at all.

I checked Quidco's referral links last night when the thread was going... the shops are almost exactly a list of everywhere I've no chance of shopping at.

I use Nectar for eBay, Amazon, Play and I generally only make small purchases there. Anything else I've never found cheaper through a Quidco deal.

I seem to have a totally different spending pattern than other people here...
