Seems Avast is now detecting PB as malware.

Heh, im amazed windows 7 users use anything but Microsoft's own anti virus/spyware/firewall.

Microsoft security essentials uses up almost no system resources, is not intrusive and gets the job done quietly and efficiently.

Just launched bf3 and avast is detecting it as a threat. Now i know ive had my issues with the game, but ive never thought it was that bad.

Then pb kicked for the following.

Game disconnected: you were kicked by PunkBuster. Stated reason: PunkBuster kicked player 'setter22' (for 0 minutes) ... RESTRICTION: Service Communication Failure: PnkBstrB.exe initialization failed

Yep it makes sense to use a anti virus provided by the creator of the operating system.

Setter see my advice above. Uninstall your current anti virus and use. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows/products/security-essentials

Just add PnkBstrB.exe to your exceptions list in avast.

No need to change your AV.

Maybe not but MSE doesn't give you any false positives.

lol mse is a basic threat stopper . i wouldnt use that .

a lot of antivirus software come up with fp just google and answers will be often solved in secs . mse lol good laugh though

Where is the best place to download the FXAA injector from for BF3. I fancy giving this a try.

Yep, lots of bf3 issues tonight, battlelog taking ages to load, getting kicked via pb, even my av program has taken a dislike to bf3 tonight.
