And on the best winger in the World debate - Hall is definitely up there, along with Nightingale, Hayne, Boyd and (possibly) Uate.

I find it strange that Hall is quite often said to be the best winger in the World but at the same time Tomkins has to play in the NRL to prove he's the best full back.

Agree, Jarred hayne and akulia Uate are both quality, although game 1 of origin Uate was a bit ****, Darius boyd is good but i think both or those 2 are better. Also brent tate on his day is pure class, but yeah, Sam and Hall would have to prove themselves down under.

A very very long road back to any kind of success.

[hoppy] coyb!

is it april 1st today?

[hoppy] bulls beat kr away :-)

He is certainly a brilliant winger, best in the world? quite possibly. I like his game, he seems to squeeze tries in left right and centre when lesser mortal players cant even get close. As a bradford fan saying that i feel dirty lol. he is without doubt one of the best seen in the UK. Has the pace, handling skills and defence when needed.

[hoppy] we all hate leeds sc....... hahaha

Haha!

That was a very mediochre game. Didn't have a patch on that second Origin game.

Different class of player in Origin. The exiles are has beens, or never beens. The current England team is missing a few stars but that match was utter ****. The Australians will destroy us later in the year.

It may be old fashioned, but how about Yorkshire, Lancashire, Europe (France/London) and Exiles (Aus/NZ) competition? At least it would give the crowd a bit more to shout about and get a bit more involved with. Surely its the closest we could ever get to a State of Origin equivalent?

Its a good idea. Id like to see it, but to much logistical work for the RFL to consider it as there a bunch of slack jawed goons still living back in the 80s that dont want to work a little harder to make our game better.

I can't see Lancs/Yorks games having that much intensity. I get the feeling that being from Yorkshire carries a bit more significance to a Yorkshireman than coming from Lancashire does to a Lancastrian. I have to say, I don't really care one way or the other.

Why don't they get a game against a team that everybody hates with a passion? Wigan v Super League - that would go down a treat. We could have Sam Tomkins as captain for the occasion ;)

As a fan of the club from the east of Hull, I can tell you, I only hate one club, and it ain't Wigan! ;)

Course it does. Who cares about coming from wrong side o't hills?

So, it was Superleague Mondays today, but alas the fixture wasn't even televised! What's the bloody point in that, Sky rearrange the fixture and then don't even bother showing it on tv. Sounded like a game that would have been good on tv, finishing 44-40 to the Rhinos.

I seriously don't understand the point of tonights game.

Exactly. Sky is a joke sometimes. The money they make for clubs is good but they get to dictate to much how things are ran. England v Exiles on Sat, but no tele game monday? whats the ****ing point of having monday night superleague if it isnt shown.

My first home game this season, and absolutely gutted about the result! 100% for effort, but 50% for brains Hull KR last night. Should have knocked over some of those penalties and played smarter rugby, Withers trying that terrible kick, Shannon McDonnell's conceding a GLDO...

BUT, having said all that, we were down a man after 4 minutes due to the Kris Welhams broken leg and lost Rhys Lovegrove to a knee ligament injury on the 60 minute mark. To have to play the game out the bench had to work really hard and it was a struggle, but in saying that I think it was a testament to our fitness lately and the boys never looked outclassed.

We should have won that, arguably, we deserved to win.

To add to all I just said, I have just watched it back on Sky and it doesn't come across on the tv just quite how BAD the conditions were. The rain was torrential, really heaving, so bad at one point that it was hard to make out who was who on the field across the other side. It was siling it down, so cue the "de-de-de-de! Summer Rugby!" chants! It was so slippy that neither teams dared pass it to their wingers for fear of getting slung into touch or just dropping the ball! There were so many handling errors, but it was like trying to play rugby league in a swimming pool. I am however always impressed with the state of Rovers pitch, its one of the best in the league, under every season and every condition. They really do look after it well.

Im gutted, I remember the grand final in 2005 when we beat Leeds, I was drunk, emotional and cried, i knew after Peacock and Nobby left it would be a long time until we saw silverware again. But this is just so depressing. Whats going to happen if the club cant find a buyer? What a sad sad day.
