Hey all.
The screen on my friend's Galaxy Nexus has cracked. It was only dropped 2 ft.
How does he go about getting a replacement? He has only had the thing a few days!

I have got one too and am worried at how easy the screen is to crack!

insurance? if not he'll have to pay for it im sure of it

I wish to insure mine as his screen is really battered. I am thinking to insure mine with 'Insure & Go' as they seem to be an OK price with a £25 excess.

He mentioned something regarding insurance but I will catch up with him tomorrow and find out what he has. Any ideas of pricing for a new screen?

I'd been looking about buying a Galaxy Nexus on a well known auction site with a damaged screen as I thought it'd be cheap enough to repair but it's going to be well over £100 from what I could find out.

Wow really? Hope he has it insured then?

On a side note. what insurance companies do people speak highly of for mobile phones?

Check with your bank ..I have mine insured with NatWest silver account

wife has hers the same with Santander

These accounts charge a monthly fee.... mines £8 and I get travel insurance , phones insurance and few other extras

Yeah because the glass and digitizer are fused together so you need to replace both, essentially the whole front of the phone needs done so yeah hopefully he has it insured!

Mine is heavily scratched and yes the Nexus is very susceptible to scuffs. This is my second and it really isn't anywhere as resistant to marks as my Galaxy Note.

Probably because the Note has Gorilla Glass whereas the Galaxy Nexus doesn't.
