3960X + 680 3-Way SLI cooling help

Quick picture uploaded from my phone, been getting stuck in!

Can't wait to get my bridge so I can get stuck into mine. Got longs screws today so I can attach the Evga backplates! Going to look sick!

Cool! Look forward to seeing your setup.

I did look at ordering the ek backplates but it was going to be another 100 quid with shipping from ek just for a few bits of alloy! And I want another ssd so its going towards that.

Got a few more pictures on my phone that I will post in a bit, just watching the football!

Posting from the iPad and it's a pita uploading and linking pictures!

Cleaned most of the dust from the mobo and the H100 paste from the CPU.

I installed the J3 socket 2011 jet plate in the block but forgot to take a picture!
Nice and polished though!

As it stands now until tomorrow.

Forgot I had two scythe gt 1850s on my H100 so I may use them on the inside of the top rad and lower the speed a bit.

Think I need to shorten that first loop of tube a bit? It's not in the way of anything but I am not sure if it looks good. I do want some slack though so I can get the bay res out for easier draining.

The more I look at your CPU block the more it grows on me

Would like to see a pic with the cards fitted.

I like the new style! Think I am in the minority though.

I haven't got it wet yet as I wanted to check here that the layout looks good.
I am not sure about the bends to and from the GPUs and the tube from the bottom rad back up to the res was annoying to try and get it past the fans (removed to fit the fittings) I may have to heat it up and bend it a bit to get it to curve around the end of the graphics cards.

Sorry about the picture sizes and quality.

Oh and doing up the compression fittings is a nightmare on the top rad! Fingers are raw!

Been looking forward to seeing this. Looks outstanding. great build. I can't offer any advice on the layout as I am a total noob cooler. Looks the business though

Yeah, I got my CSQ gear the other day and I actually really like it! Also JP, are you not going to use your anti kink coils?

With you on this, they look a lot better fitted.

BTW it looks a classy build, one word jealous.

Planning something similar, would it be okay to pick you brains?

Only my second water build in 10 years but ask away!

Yeah, I got my CSQ gear the other day and I actually really like it! Also JP, are you not going to use your anti kink coils?

Do you think it needs the coils?
I was going to wait for some warm water to be flowing through to see if I need them or what they look like with a uv light.

I will leak test next then sort the power cables out.

It's up to you, but I think it would add that extra wee touch. I have the same tubing as you and black anti kink coils but purely for asthetics. You should try it and see what you think! :) Also those Corsair power cables are sweet! Got a set ready for when OCUK decide to get the CSQ bridges in, the only thing holding me back from starting the rebuild!

The coils I have only just fit over the tube but I will have a look once I am happy with everything.

The corsair cables are nice but it's going to be a close fit, may have to use my other psu thats a bit smaller.

More tomorrow!

Pretty much done!

Small pictures from my phone.

Just need to extend the cables for the UV tubes and plug them in, then I will get a few better pictures.

Leak test went fine and the pump noise is very acceptable, took a bit of adjusting the mounting screws and pump speed to get it right but once the bubbles were out it went pretty quiet!

I think I could do a better job with the cables but it was getting frustrating with how little space there is between the psu and rad.

Thanks guys!

All fans are intake except for the 1 rear fan, I did the same on my old HAF 932 case and had good results, with the built in shroud on the SR1 rads I wanted to make the most of them also by mounting the fans in Push on the shroud side.

Temps so far are:

Room Temp 25/26C
CPU Temp after Intel Burn Test 66C Highest Core only running at 4.7 with ~1.3v right now.
GPUs after Heaven Benchmark 41/42/42! Stock speeds. (they are now idle 29/28/29)

Pump on level 4 and fans on 100%

Very happy!

I am now going to solder the cables for the UV cathodes.

Will post some better pictures and then do some more temp testing and post some screenshots.
