Asus direct CUII 6950 cross fire

Im soon going to be moving to a new case and i want to get a second card to crossfire with my 6950, does it mattwr that my card is not a reference based card, i cant get another of the direct cu2 cards as it wouldnt fit , has anyone done this and what us the perfermance increase like ?

in CF you wil see a nice increase FPS etc... your cpu should be ok not to bottleneck the cards... though you should be able to hit 4.5 easily with that cpu

just make sure your PSU has enough juice to deal with 2 cards xD
 
I have 6950 cf, and a 2500k @ 4.5ghz. Eats up everything. There will be a very noticable increase in fps. You can use any 6950 to pair up with what you have, however if the clocks are different speeds, the highest clocked will downclock to the slowest cards speeds.

Edit - That PSU should be fine.
