Having just got BSG on blu ray and have seen it has loads of special features, most of which I will probably never watch, with space always filling up I always omit these, I just like to watch a movie to be entertained, don't usually analyse it, also I have zero interest in interviews etc.

So do you guys watch bonus features?

If you like them are there any worth watching ? Again no interest in narration or interviews

I feel the same - but the only bonus stuff I like watching is to see how they did the CGI or maybe a dangerous stunt. Rest of it is filler that I doubt many people watch.

If the film or tv show is something special like lotr or game of thrones then I love watching the extras to see how they did the special effects and made the sets. But if it's just a comedy or drama then I'm not really interested.

Game of thrones is very good for extras as it has a whole lore encyclopaedia for the show and the history before it.

I'll usually only watch deleted scenes or outtakes, infact these are usualy the first thing I look for, unless I haven't already seen the film.

I watch deleted scenes and gag reels but I loathe "Making of.." bits. In my opinion they just spoil the magic of cinema. Once I have seen such a thing it is all I ever think about when re-watching that film. Thus, I avoid them studiously.

Sometimes, but generally its only for films/shows that I have a big interest in.
I think I watched all the extras on the Serenity disk

Very much agree, I do not want to see the puppeteering in alien for example, yeah I know it wasn't a puppet

I also only watch them when it was a film or tv series that really interested me.

I remember when DVDs first came out though that I watched everything, even the Directors commentaries.

I think all disks should come in two versions: with and without extras, with the latter cheaper. I wonder if anyone would actually pay the extra to see them? By and large extras are a waste of time. At best they just long puff-pieces for a thing you've already bought, or else a load of luvvies telling you what a life-affirming experience filming was. It actually annoys me how little you get on these: not so much the length (LotR has ****ing hours of it) but how little real content there is (to be fair, LotR was a lot better than most). In this day and age, when everyone knows that he disk is going to have extras, why are these so weak?
