(NotSoUrgent - Identified)URGENT! Identify this bug!!

Hey Guys,

Who can tell me what these damned things are??

We've had a problem with flies in our back room (where rabbits are) this last week and ive been killing a good up to 15 a day.

Yesterday went and cleaned the rabbits out and behind their cage, and behind some like tarpaulin right down on the floor next to border there were a good 60-100 of these things.

First thought is they were maggots / fly larvae but looking closely at them, they are like spikey n wierd. They seem dead, they're hard little things. Possibly woodlouse? Ive googled but I cant find anything that really looks just like them?

Anyone confirm what they are???

They look IMG post bugs to me

(btw, they'll work if you open the link in another window and then refresh the post)

They look suspiciously like bed bug or possibly carpet bugs.

Edit: Not bed bugs, however possibly carpet bugs.

Whatever it was, it has already laid eggs.

There's no time.

Destroy them before they hatch.

Ohhhhhhh Arse! They looked dead! Im at work and they are sat on my desk at home in a tub I forgot to put the lid back on! :-O

pupa of something (probably a fly) they will hatch and you will find out!

Ahhh!

Well as I said.. I have had loads of flies in the room the last few days!

They look like carpet beetle larvae.

Hmm.. And what do these little beggars do?

Fannia carnicularis puparia (Lesser House Fly)

They go like that prior to becoming flies, just like a caterpillar does. Great for fishing with :)

Their the Buggers!!!

Thanks LOAM!

Ok, So they are flies... are these things dead then or are they about to hatch?

As they were down on the carpet, I hoovered (omgomg there in the hoover too) it all and got everything up that I could see.. any other advice or things I should do?

They are alive and will have all hatched by now and be flying around the room where you left them.

size 18 hook, 2.2lb breaking strain trace. light shotting pattern, self cocking waggler, plumb the depth before but ive fished here before i know its about 5ft. hand full of hemp, a ball of ground bait laced with more casters. gentle under arm cast, its not far and those trees are close. wait, anticipation, is that a tench, those bubbles look familiar. hang on the floats knocked, somethings interested, pick up the rod, gently slowly wait for the next knock, strike! its small and easy to wind in, gudgeon.... not the tench. Lets try again.

they are probably just the hollow skins left behind from when the larvae have turned into flies.
