1998 Saab 9-5 2.0t

Right, they have quoted me the £125 for what I mentioned earlier. i have spoken to a SAAB specialist that is around the area and he say's that he would charge £280 all in for everything. Now do I pay the £125 and hope they did it properly which I know is a stupid idea or go with the specialist that I know will do it properly. I have answered my own question I know.

Find out exactly what the cheaper place will do for the money. I suspect the saab specialist will actually do what is required, rather than just do a sump drop...

Here's an (extreme) reason why you check the top:

Well the specialist listed what he does and so did the other garage and they are similar. Nothing stands out. The only tell tale sign I have of a sludge build up is the whine on start up. No loss of power or the oil pressure light showing. I really would like to think it isn't as bad as your link shows.

Well had the car for 2 weeks now. Had the sump dropped and cleaned and is running better now. Also got the MOT done and failed on the drop links and bushes. All in was £400 to get the MOT sorted and the sump. Didn't think that was too bad.

However today I made a bad judgement parking today next to a white wall. Forgot the bumper stuck out quite a bit and the front drivers side hit it and now has a big white scrap. So gutted for my own bad judgement. I do have a pot of paint that is a perfect match, however I really don't know where to start doing a DIY repair.
