spec me.. something fun to build!

I have a long holiday before uni and I wanted to try and make something. Preferably electronic and mechanical parts, perhaps an RC vehicle of some kind? It has to be cheap to make but the longer it takes to make, the better. I would prefer something that comes as a complete package where I don't need to buy all the parts separate.

I would say scratch built foam radio control. You can get plans for free and then cut the foam, parts are cheap as chips from hobby king in HK.
