*Mass Effect 3 Singleplayer Thread* (may contain spoilers)

Ah, I didn't see that. My playthrough started just at the moment when you can choose the ending.

He explains the options and outcomes a bit more, but somehow makes it more confusing! ...and synthesis makes even less sense now

It is basically Shep saying "what does that mean?" a few times and then the kid comes out with something that is too ridiculous even for The Matrix Reloaded!

I give the Extended Ending 9/10 'MEH'S'

Utterly not worth it. They'd have been better just going along with the Indoctrination Theory! :p

I just played the ending - couldnt work out if I skipped a lot last time or if there was just a lot more talking options.

Just watched them, and while I do think they certainly make for fuller endings am I the only one who thinks that Bioware just jumped in and decided to make them all "happy" to shut people up? They seem to have completely missed the point of the complaints, tbh.

Just throwing in a "the relays are severely damaged" line is complete excrement, and the space magic is still complete excrement -- but most of all Garrus being on the Normandy and telling Joker to leg it is a total, absolute, mountainous pile of excrement. So the three original endings now have it all working out just fine -- every race in the universe is no longer ******. Well, Bioware, that's not a response to the fans -- that's just fixing your own mess and to say that this extended cut was introduced to "help" people understand what happened is disingenuous -- yep, you guessed it -- excrement.

Maybe I'm wrong and the person playing the YouTube recordings didn't take Garrus to London. Have they fixed that? Do the two that you take with you now show as dead at that final cutscene? If not, it still doesn't explain how your ground crew suddenly got on the Normandy after the Sovereign wipe and it makes Garrus' entire speech before the last mission complete and utter character-betraying nonsense.

In a way, the endings are fixed. That, I'll concede. Regardless, Mass Effect 3's final moments still stands as one of the biggest disappointments of my gaming life. To have the only option that sees you stand up to their rug-pulling rush job be the bleakest of all really just shows you Bioware's opinion. I'll be approaching all of their future output with severe trepidation.

Turns out there is a fourth ending as well. You can do nothing and let the Reapers continue with their harvesting, i.e. all your work in ME1, 2 and 3 is for absolute zero. LOL.

So be it. The ultimate insult to fans.

fans- "we want to be able to defy the catalyst"
Bioware "ok, we will put that in"
"Brilliant. We Finally get to say FU to the catalyst. Yipee!!"

- Reapers win. Game Over

Bioware - " Yeah....How did you like that *****es!?"

Completed it today and suprisingly I thought the ending was alright bit annoying that its a lot more effort to get a "good" ending in this one, also I only had like 5 squad members throughout! (I'm sure I had 10 in ME2, and they all survived)

Also I'm upset my princess miranda died (can she be saved?)

Just completed it now, didn't think much of it. I appriciate the work that went into it but I'm a little dissapointed.

Sticking with the Indoctrination Theory because it's better.

the new ending is equally retarded as the last one, all theyv done is shown that the normandy can fly and that shepherd is alive. wow congrats....its still an ending that means nothing.

The ship still crashes from faster than light travel (I assume?) without dumping all its radiation into the vessel and thus killing eveyone!?

SPACE MAGIC!

Yeah you have to talk to her on the citadel between missions when she shows up. She'll eventually request restricted access to some files and you can basically tell her yes or no (you need to give her access) and also warning her about Kai Leng is something you need to do as well, both are done in the Spectre requisitions office.

The answer is in the spoiler tags.

After the mission to Palaven and Grissom Academy, or just Sur'Kesh, Shepard gets a message from Miranda asking to meet on the Citadel at Docking Bay D24. Miranda expresses her concerns that her sister Oriana had been found by her father. If she is in a romance with Shepard, Miranda shows that she was greatly pained when Shepard was detained on Earth, and almost thought to break in to see him. If certain decisions are not made to warn her of a Cerberus attack, Miranda will later be killed by Cerberus Assault Troopers, under orders from the Illusive Man. To keep Lawson alive, Shepard must read the dossier Anderson forwards on Kai Leng, and warn her about him via video conference in the Spectre Office in the Citadel Embassies. Should Miranda not be spoken to before Cerberus' attack on the Citadel, Miranda will still send Shepard a message to contact her via the Communications Console in the Spectre Office in the Citadel Embassies.

She is later encountered on Horizon after Cerberus retrieves the Prothean VI from Thessia. Shepard quickly finds that Oriana is indeed being held by their father, who is operating a Cerberus facility disguised as a shelter called Sanctuary. Miranda is seen in recordings throughout the mission warning civilians of her father's true intent. Finally, Henry Lawson, who is holding Oriana as a human shield, comes face to face with both Shepard and Miranda. Shepard is either able to diffuse the situation diplomatically or to simply shoot him. If Shepard allows Lawson to leave, Miranda will refuse, using her biotics to push him out of a nearby window. Miranda, who was badly injured during a running battle with Kai Leng, dies in the company of Oriana and Shepard if she was not previously warned about Kai Leng's return to service of Cerberus. If Miranda's loyalty was not secured, or she was not given Alliance resources in an earlier conversation with Shepard, Kai Leng will mortally wound her even if warned.

If Shepard cannot persuade Lawson diplomatically and does not shoot him after diplomacy fails, Miranda will take the initiative to kill Lawson herself, but Lawson will manage to get in a shot that fatally wounds Miranda, causing Miranda to die even if Miranda was warned about both the Cerberus attack and Kai Leng's return to Cerberus.

If Miranda survived those events, she tells Shepard she had the time to place a tracking device on Kai Leng during their short encounter, allowing Shepard and the Alliance to find the Illusive Man's location. Miranda then leaves with her sister, and asks Shepard to be careful.

I started playing this last night and I think it's ok so far. My only real issue is the jerkiness when I'm walking around and it saves. Also, it has crashed a couple of times on loading screens (going into the shooting range on the Citadel mainly). I had the same issues with 1 and 2 and it can be so frustrating!

Would installing help these problems? I never normally bother but if it would really help I'm all for it. Can you install both discs so you don't have to change them?

Always install on the 360 if you have the space. You can install both discs but you will still have to swap when it asks.

So - extended cut is out for DL - anyone going to be playing it, or are we all just waiting for the Jewtube videos?

edit: Do'h, probably should read the responses above mind :p
