Hi GD people,

Going to Tenerife for the first time in July, can people recommend any places to go whilst I am there?

Anything I should be worried about?

Any thoughts on the place in general?

I think they have a submarine experience, that sounds good. Check out the excursions they offer.

I've been to tenerife - didn't like it much, the saving grace was the fact the hotel was decent.

What part of Tenerife?. I've been 4 times in the past few years, we love the place. We usually go for the quieter resorts like Los Gigantes. It's a beautiful island, a good tip is to hire yourselves some bikes and go cycling to explore. We did this last time and it was fantastic.

Yea, had the same thing in Lanzarote. I'm eating a meal and they approach me!

We stay in Costa Adeje when we go, a bit quieter (ok a lot quieter) than las americas, but within reasonable traveling distance should you want a 'big night out'
Weather is fantastic - so if you enjoy the sunshine you are in luck.
This year we went to loro parque, which is in the north of the island. Brilliant animal park, up there with seaworld in florida in my eyes.
We also went to Siam Park which is a fairly new water park in the south of the island. It really is world class and perhaps my favorite water park yet.

Siam Park is awesome, apart from the giant inflatable raft ride that tries to kill you and all who are on it

keep your wallet in a safe place ive heard countless storys of people being pickpocketed in Tenerife.

Oh and a group of Albanians tried to steal my mates trainers which he was wearing at the time.

Was there last month, went to Costa Adeje and got a taxi down to Veronicas most nights. Plenty to do such as the quad biking (DO NOT DO THE 4 hr one its all on roads and boring) and siam park is awesome.

Yeah, get a flight over to gran canaria and do some of the water parks, they're immense.
