Hi everyone,

I was interested in buying this mobo: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-199-MS

However the latest review mentions it needing a bios update to support ivy bridge processors, and I will be buying one of said Ivy Bridge processors to go in this board.

Has anyone got this board that can confirm or deny this? If it does need the bios update is there any way of doing it without needing another processor?

Thanks a lot

Good to hear that it should work :).

The review had me worried as it says:

Warning!! I bought this with the new Ivybridge Cpu and it just showed a black screen, however by using the debug screen on the motherboard it showed that the Bios needed updating to be compatible with the new Ivybridge cpus.
Obviously i didnt have another Socket 1155 cpu handy to get on and do the update!
Hoverever speaking to overclockers on the phone i took it down to there place and they did it there and then which was bril!

And I unfortunately don't live close enough to pop in to OC like this person did :p

Just bought one the other day, installed and Ivy i5 3570K booted fine.

Then flashed the Bios to the latest firmware with no problems.
