I don’t if it’s just my area or what but it seems like people are out of control, with no respect for anything inc women, children, the law or the elderly.

We’ve had a spate of burglaries around my area in the last few weeks, but heard of one today which shook me up a little bit realising I’ve got elderly parents at home.

At least in the old days these thieving ****s would wait till the house was empty before they rob it.

Local lady, in her late 40s/early 50s, at home waiting for the kids to come home. Husband at work, kids expected home any minute from school, school only down the road. So she opens and leaves the door slightly open, knowing the kids will be home any minute, and back to the kitchen. Two guys charge through, one Asian who wearing a balaclava, assume he’s local as was hiding his identity and the 2nd a white male who didn’t cover his face as isn’t likely to be local. Anyhow they proceed to beat the living daylights out of this woman, whilst stripping her of her gold jewellery. She’s screaming why are you beating me just take what you want, you don’t have to hit me. They ignore her and continue to beat her and rip her earrings off from her ears, and take whatever else jewellery she had on.

This is broad daylight, around 3.30pm, on a busy road. There were school children and their parents walking past the house and whilst they exited no one even clicked on to what had just happened. They left with ease, in broad daylight whilst the woman lay battered in her house.

First time I’ve thought to myself we need to move, can only see things getting worse once these lowlifes benefits are cut!

lack of money so people are more desperate than the olden days unfortunately. not only are the scum of the past in need of cash, but ordinary people are too, so more risks are being taken to get it before someone else does.

Violent crime and human violence in general has been in a steady progressive decline since the middle-ages (read Steven Pinker on this). The problem, however, is that our media-culture and general information-everything society now has more continued 24-hour LIVE! NEWS! exposure to bad events than ever before. Things are repeated continually as news-stations look for the dramatic or tragic narrative angle to sell to people sat at home. More than a decade on we're still being reminded of Madeleine McCann's abduction... really?

Nothing is happening to society except that we are becoming hyper-aware of everything bad that ever happens because of the media and information society we now live in.

Newsflash, stupid poor people with no hope do terrible things to obtain material wealth in a society obsessed with material gain & which also judges people by what they possess.

Reduce income inequality you want to live in a society with less crime.

Didn't you get the memo? There's no such thing as society. There are individuals and there are families and it's survival of the fittest out there.
