Flashing the Bios on my 7970

Right i'm up for flashing the bios on my 7970 to the Asus overclocking bios, but i have some questions

I've downloaded ATI Winflash 2.0.1.18, and i've got Trixx 4.3 so i can save my current bios.

Now i've tried flashing the card before but ATI FLash said there was a vendor mis-match or something so i backed off

So here are my questions

What position should the bios switch be in when i flash the card?

Is there anything special i should name the asus bios before i use it/anything special i should save my current bios as when i save it? ie what extension it should have?

If ATI Flash says the same thing when i try to flash it, should i force the flash?

Currently my card's stock voltage is 1.112 volts, will the asus bios change this voltage up, or are volts not set by the bios?

I'm hoping the flash will give me 1.174 volts and unlocked maximums in CCC, but i'd settle for the later.

Can anyone help me out?

Thanks

Dave

You can't unlock your voltages on 7970s you need a lightning card for that. I've flashed the core xfx to the black xfx but that's as far as I go. You have to do it as admin on bios 2 as I think bios 1 is protected maybe. Did it a while ago. Doesn't do anything more than change the default clock though. Kinda pointless.
