microsoft hotmail failure

Anybody else experienced being locked out of your hotmail account?

Strange seeing as I was using my hotmail account to send an email not 10 minutes before it was 'locked'.

it doesn't accept my mobile number - saying it's not a valid number for my region? (+44) blah blah blah - for a text service, which of the first few numbers of your mobile number is replaced by the +44 bs?

This has me raging, because the email was important and I need access to hotmail for a reply.

haha, yer, I've had that hotmail account for a loooong time it is useful. Gmail and all of the 'other 'accounts that everyone seems to want you to have are just more bs for me to forget the password to... *sigh*

Yes, for some reason my hotmail account has been locked twice in the past three months, no idea why, changed my password and did a million different scans and nothing turned up.

bah, humbug - had to create another hotmail account to serve for password reset, then fill out a bunch a stuff about my last email, folder I created etc etc.

Got it back anyways. Sometimes technology really annoys me - especially when a service like hotmail seemingly cannot handle tabbed browsing in FF - that's what I was doing just before it was locked out... email composition in one tab, inbox on another, signed out of one and closed the other, signed back in to failure

mine got locked, can't seem to get it unlocked as the recovery email is lost and the question is one i set over 10 years ago so i have no idea what the answer is. tried going through their CS but they were useless

So 07723 456789 becomes

+447723 456789

Was double checking with the forum fount of knowledge -
tried that with the number as you described - no-go. Hence getting all bent out of shape about it

CS ? that a UK number? If so they asked for remote access and when that was refused, they wanted $89 to unlock my account - after jeering at the bloke I put the phone down. Cant tell if scam or not, not going to take any chances there however.
