looking for a change after 7 years in the same job, i see we have lots of job sites online,

so spam them all with my CV and see what is what? or stick to one or two?

also be interested to hear which are the best ones in your view?

I've got all of my jobs through recommendations tbh, recruiters promise you the Earth then give you a shovel. Get in contact with a few people you know to see if there's anything going? LinkedIn is very good for this these days.

What sort of job are you after Jim?

anything mate, i want out of the SIMS world, my manger is going to be replaced by an old school teacher that works for us already, a sideways gimmie, no interview just pushing as a cost cutting exercise. main skills IT wise is client side, tech support. got lots of MS quals, sadly very little server experience :(

ps

thanks for the links, i just saw so many on google, was kinda wanting to just bother with a few of the top ones. so thanks again for links and recommendations

Just out of curiosity, what MS quals?

On a similar sort of topic, as someone who has finished a degree and currently working on some certifications, should I care much about linkedin if I have no previous jobs or contacts? I do have a linkedin account but I'm not sure if there is much point for me having it when trying to get my first IT job, or is it more useful than I think?

Yes, absolutely yes. LinkedIn is one the primary tools used by recruiters.

hah I work for Capita... I Support SIMS.net/FMS etc...

Don't like jobserve as they seem to advertise the same job 10 times with slightly different wordings and it would appear varying salaries.
