Looking for some cheapish ram capable of 2400mhz and 1t timings. 2x4GB sticks please, any suggestions please? I've not bought ram for years.
 
Does the Samsung on the main Page today only deal tick your boxes. It's meant to be great stuff
 
The only way to really guarantee 2400MHz is to buy RAM rated as 2400MHz.

The Samsung Green has overclocked to that speed but then some have struggled to get near that.

May I ask why you want/need 2400MHz and what are the specs. of the system you want it for?
 
Just a build I am doing for a work colleague. He has specified 2400mhz ram as it "is obviously a lot faster than 1600mhz ram" lol and I can't be arsed arguing. So just looking for some decent cheapish 2400mhz ram that I can put in his rig and keep him happy. The customer is always right :(
 
theres no such thing as cheap 2400mhz ram,the closest youd get is the samsung green clocked to 2133mhz,then youd have to spend big bucks for the faster stuff which simply isnt worth it

What CPU are you using? You may find it difficult to reach those speeds or not be able to achieve such speeds at all.

I would recommend the Samsung Green and overclock it. Generally speaking it's good for around that figure. I've had 3 sets now, all can get to 2400MHz once i got my head around the timings.
