** Wimbledon 2012 - 25th June - 8th July **

On a side note, Ferrer-Del Potro is going to be a hell of a match. Wouldn't like to put a bet on that one at all.

Very smart tactics from Murray against a guy who has questionable stamina. Didn't need to belt the cover off the ball - did exactly what he needed to do to win.

Ferrer is no threat to Murray at all and he completely owns Tsonga (5-1 head to head, Tsonga's only victory was back in 2008).

He doesn't stand a chance if he plays like that against any of the top seeders. Very inconsistent. Will need to have 3 exceptional performances in a row. How ofter does this happen?

Murrays play from the baseline was so passive, it was like was afraid to give it the beans!

that why people have said he'll find it diffcult to win a grand slam event, tends to wait for the opposition to make mistakes rather than trying to win the game.

Rufus the hawk has been found alive and well:

The hawk used to scare pigeons from Wimbledon has been found, three days after it was stolen from its travel box in a car in south-west London.

The news that Rufus the pigeon-scaring hawk had been found was posted from his Twitter account by his owner.

It said: "Rufus is healthy and well... We are SO excited/happy/relieved."

He went missing from Dunstall Road, Wimbledon, on Thursday night. A member of the public claimed to have spotted his abandoned box on Friday morning.

Martin Underwood, the manufacturer of the stolen travel box, took the phone call.

Good news!

Kvitova's had 10 break points in this set against Schiavone and taken NONE, pathetic from a champion. Schiavone's had 3 and taken 1 and thats all it took to win the set.

My tip Paszek is the first woman into the 1/4 finals, beats Vinci 6-2, 6-2.

Some great games on atm - Kvitova a set down against Schiavone, Williams 1-1 with Shvedova, Sharapova 5-2 down against Lisicki, Federer 4-4 with Malisse but just had a 10 min injury break.. quite a few upset possibilities here!

Interesting events unfolding on a Centre - Federer taking a medical time-out, which is something I don't think I've ever seen before and thought I never would.

As with the Benneteau match, he just doesn't seem to be moving as smoothly as he normally would. He usually glides around the court like he's on oiled casters - at the moment he's gingerly stepping around like he's got gravel in his shoes.

And I don't know whether this is just me, but his face looks a little swollen, especially around the nose and cheeks.

Worrying times for the Swiss.

Seeing Federer like this make me feel a little uneasy. Just seems so out of sorts.

Although he's just made Malisse look like a chump during that service game. Even at half-pace he's got all the shots.

And Federer takes the tie-break with ease and wraps up the first set.

And it's all going on here on Centre, Malisse on the floor at the end of that tie-break, Federer putting his cardigan on during the changeover break, Andrew Jarrett hanging around on court looking worried about the weather, etc.

Why the hell isn't this on BBC HD or BBC One HD?!

Players back out on Centre and the roof remains open, for now at least.

Federer looks to have a dark undershirt on under his polo, presumably to keep his lower back warm and in check, Malisse looks to have slightly heavier strapping on his knee.

The third seed still isn't looking totally comfortable, but he's moving a lot better than he was before the break. Just remains to be seen how long it takes for them to close the roof after all the delays we've had already.

Should prove to be a fascinating game, especially with the dulcet tones of Barry Davies calling the action.
