I'm concerned about my ability to continue leading my life. Whether i use my own car, or my flatmate's diesel fiesta (which the same rules apply to) is neither here nor there.

Say i needed to go right now to deal with a family medical emergency, what do i do in that position?
LOL

So if your car ever breaks down for a day your life is over

Most other people would normally just
walk
Ride a bicycle
take a taxi
catch the bus
ask a friend for a lift..

What would have happened if your Car was stolen, broken down, or you were incapacitated in some way that made you unable to drive?

Why don't you do what millions of other people do and catch a bus, or get a taxi.....you could walk or ride a bike also if the distance wasn't too great. In a medical emergency?...phone an ambulance.

Your relatively minor and short term inconvenience is hardly important compared to the need to fully investigate the murder of one of your neighbours.

Depends if the neighbour was in fact THE MURDERER.

Smirking at the outrage of people posting in here, agree with just getting on with it but the outrage is funny.

Lol this thread, Im sure he's sorry he chose your street to get murdered on OP. I truly worry about people like you what would happen if we lost everything and had to use our legs and hunt for our food again.
