Buying physical copies of games in London.

the usual places you would expect to find them?
game & hmv

just dont expect much choice probably 1-2 shelves at best

Big stores seem to be picking up some of the slack, but frankly, theres little point in any retailer putting these games on the shelves, almost all of it is bought online, so its cheaper to leave at a warehouse.

Shame really, but you take one convenience, you cannot get the other.

Game have dissapeared form the high street and HMV dont stock PC games anymore!

game havent disappeared from the highstreet they scaled back im sure one of the games in london will still be open and i find it hard to believe that any hmv in london wont sellpc games while the ones elsewhere still do

There are still multiple GAMEs in central london.

There aren't any HMVs in Central that sell PC games.

I bought SWTOR in HMV at Moorgate. To be totally clear, I bought someone elses reserved copy :p

It's been years since I've been down to that London to go shopping. I do clearly remember the last time I went to one of the Oxford Street HMV's though...

Overpriced, overloud and overcrowded. It must be said there wasn't much of a selection back then, so I dread to think what it's like now.

HMV Trocadero has gotten rid of the PC section I believe.

The Oxford Circus store has a small (and I mean small, the display for Diablo 3 gamer mats and mice was bigger) section hidden away somewhere between the Vita & DS games though.

And also the big crappy PC chain at the top of Tottenham Court road still sells PC games.

Buying games from shops is pointless nowadays, they have no resale value and are more expensive. I buy all my games from online, never direct from steam or origin. And always much cheaper. If you need to know where add me on steam Cabbage4321 I wont post the links here incase its not allowed.

The Wimbledon branch of Game closed down this last week(they never had any stock of PC games anyway and the service was shocking!)The HMV next door stopped selling PC games months ago!

I understand the desire for the physical product but I think you will really struggle unless you are after special editions which a lot of game retailers still sell.
