my mate, may have a EVGA 670 for me from his work, it is without box and bits. They used to test and review (large company that supply to smaller sites/stores) anyway he reckons i can have it for a token fee, but is unsure if the warranty is transferable without proof off purchase and so on...

anyone have any dealings with EVGA and this matter?

It has 3 years warranty from the date that it left the EVGA factory/warehouse. That gives you over 2 years.

If it was provided as a free sample from EVGA to your friend then that may not be applicable though.

If it was a retail product then you're guaranteed atleast 2.5 years of EVGA warranty epicness :D

im not so worried about the length its more am i gonna be able to resolve on my own with no paper work or box if the worst does happen.

im sure they paid for it. But will check. cheers cleeee

Np :)

The evga cards i have come with a 10 year warranty , why dont all the others?

Your serial number will end in ER. These cards have 10 year warranties. Recently, EVGA have only really been releasing KR cards which only have 3 years.

Have a look at evgas new global warranty thing. This allows you to do a "guest RMA"

Basically, no paperwork or anything needed, just the product in RMAble condition according to EVGA standards.
