It really does seem that 'cheeky' translates as 'scrote' these days

The intent is what does it. When we were caught by someone doing anything we shouldn't, we were scared they would tell our parents and we would try and get out of it by apologising. Half the kids I see confronted about anything now just give the accuser a verbal tirade or threaten them.

Thats why people call them scrotes, because they are not cheeky they are just rude nasty little people in a lot of cases.

What I am surprised about is that they managed to get through all the security. Two young kids dressed in all black with their hoods on running towards the torch didn't trigger any suspicion.

My best memory of Coventry was my first lecture there.

Professor stood up and welcomed us with:

"Welcome to Coventry, a city that was pretty well bombed during the war.
Unfortunately, not well enough as we we've rebuilt it."

It was fairly normal when I lived there. It's generally understood that 'Cov' is almost an acceptible place to be when you're off your head, they were just being helpful
