Forget about the origins of each. But if you were asked what was the more likely scenario, what would you say?

You might want to delve a little deeper into Scientology before you make such a comparison. Particularly what they believe a Thetan actually is and who effectively created (and continues to create) the Universe itself...

one example: its widely known Tom Cruise is gay, he has admitted this in video recordings taken by the Scientology cult, they use this to control him.

Like I said....learn a bit about it first, A Thetan isn't an alien exactly, more the personification of a Universal Force, and the material Universe itself only exists because those personifications say it does...so effectively they believe that Humans are an empty vessel in which an amnesiac non-corporeal expression of the Universe which dreams the Universe into existence (even though it is amnesiac) resides.....

They effectively are implying that our spiritual self (Thetan) is in fact an expression of God who has forgotten that they were a God in the first place.
