My response will be to give work the opportunity to give some other silly sod the opportunity to play the leading role in his very own snuff movie. I like my head just where it is.

Long way to go for just a week. I'd pass purely on the distance and how hot it is there. (Assuming you're going to the Afgan border areas).

Yes, but understandable.

If you hire local security there will be nothing to worry about, just don't walk/go anywhere alone, and check the region you're travelling to. (security is cheap, my mum hired me a personal guard with an AK47 at my sister's wedding)

What would the security provided to you be like? Would there be some provided? Is it in a nice area, or a dire one?
