No the closest we get it Norton and Jonathon Ross.

I'd love the UK to have a daily talk show but the simple fact is that we don't have enough stars residing in the UK. Even our good ones end up living in LA.

The Daily Show with Jon Stewart is the one I watch as often as it's on.

Do the Americans have topical panel shows? The closest I've seen is whose line is it anyway.


I'm not really a fan of american chat shows in general, and those two videos haven't persuaded me.

That's where our satirical talent seems to be going. The equivalent writers in the US are doing it for the nightly shows, and over here they're doing it for Dara, Jimmy and the rent-a-comedians on the panel shows.
 
Always like to watch Conan when we're on holiday as it's always on although sometimes with subtitles! Ellen always seems to be dancing like a loon every time I see her!!!
 
I like both of them. John Stewart is excellent though!

UK are the masters at documentaries but IMO chat show hosts & cop shows are somethin our cousins across the pond are brilliant at.
 
I've been watching Real Time with Bill Maher. It's sort of like an openly political one.

For all we criticise America for having rock dumb people, they have better political coverage - and worse.
 
Well I voted Letterman, but couldn't we have Jay Leno added to the poll for all the petrolheads on here. :confused:
