Last night me and a few friends were talking about whether you can love, as in romantically two people at the same time.

Some were saying if you truly love someone you couldn't love someone else as it then wouldn't be love?

I'm not sure myself, but surely it is possible or is it a singular thing?

As there is no clear-cut, one-size-fits-all definition of love, I think it is entirely possible to subjectively love multiple people in that way.

Well what you define as "truly love" is a subjective evaluation.

To others, they may be able to "truly love" two people at once.

While I don't think I'd be able to myself, I can't see why it would be impossible to do it, I mean people often hurt the person they love.

As there is no clear-cut, one-size-fits-all definition of love, I think it is entirely possible to subjectively love multiple people in that way.
What he said.

Love vs. Lust in most cases. Rather than the "actual true love" normally the lust thing fizzles off and you realise how special things are with the one you have.

You can love more than 1 person at a time. It's not really that different to loving your partner and your children. Different kinds of love in that example, but shows that there is enough room in your heart for love of others.

Love is just a chemical reaction in the brain that is basically man's way of trying to ensure procreation and the survival of the species.

Nothing magical about it.

Yup, and it's already been shown that these chemicals stop being produced after 3 or 4 years, since that is enough time for a baby to be raised to a toddler, and then the woman and toddler can go around foraging together and don't need the man to bring back food.
