Hi guys,

I think my razer copperhead is on its way out (after 4/5 years of intense use) and I need a replacement...

I only really use 2 out of 4 customisable buttons on the razer so the new mouse needs at least the same - I would definitely have a razer again. I had to return my first order after it stopped working after a couple of months and the razer support, after being mucked about by the e-tailer, was excellent!

No fuss Windows 7 compatibility is essential too as well as the mouse being suitable for left/right handers.

So, what are my options? Budget-wise, I'm hoping to stay under the £50 mark :)

Thanks mate, I had a look at that! Looking at the shape of the mouse, there's nothing really stopping a leftie (definitely not in the political sense!) from getting the regular variant is there?

Plus, the re-spawn edition is in stock now :D

Edit: Ah, I can see that the two custom buttons are on the 'right' side for a leftie...

Yeah it's the buttons unlike the Coperhead they're only on one side.

Shape wise I bought the IMperator after my Copperhead, absolutely hated it and the sensor had issues back then.

The Deathadder though, really didn't take me long to get used to it at all! Less than a week from the Copperhead, so I couldn't recommend it more.

I've just been reading through some reviews for the lh'd deathadder; is it right that the two main buttons are back to front? I've been used to using my middle finger for left clicking for and my index for right

Could you confirm?

Thanks guys but I'm trying to stay under the £50 mark - plus I think I need to upgrade my mat at the same time!

I've been looking at the Razer Goliathus Speed Edition; it would take over nicely from my aging Mantis mat :D

Im left handed yet I honestly cant understand how anyone would use a mouse with their left hand.

Things like Golf clubs.. Scissors... do you use left handed versions?

I always basically just learned to use things from a young age and I only really Write with my left and Kick a ball on the left.

Was wondering the same thing about mouse. I had option of left or right hand mouse when they first came out... Mice that is.. and decided to go right handed because they I can use virtually all PC stations. I do not know a single lefty who uses lefty mouse.

Scissors are handed... as are Golf Clubs. guitars (play right handed), guns (left handed because left eye dominate), etc. and the reason is dominate/strongest arm, dominate eye, etc. Scissors are which side the blades are. Right handed in right hand you can see the line you are cutting. Use them in your left hand and the blade blocks your view of the line. ;) And the finger/thumb grip holes are not always ambidextrous. Remember how hard it was in primary to cut on the lines when all the righties had no problems? We were handicapped with their scissors!!
