** Wimbledon 2012 - 25th June - 8th July **

Murray is more then capable of beating fed it just depends on if Murray can keep the level up for 5 sets as his problem has always been consistency look at some of the Matches he's played recently. He plays great for 2 sets then falls apart and fed won't let him get away with that.

Btw I really don't understand the hatred for Murray I have always liked him. Maybe that's because I don't expect a sports person to be as charismatic as a politician or as funny as a comic

You are correct about Murray's consistency, he has beaten Fed in the past, i think he leads the score head to head with Fed, but not when it matters in the big finals. Some random ATP tour final isnt the same.

Go to Glasgow, and find me a truck load of Glaswegians that were shouting for Tim Henman in his heyday. Show me some stats or anything to prove me wrong that Scotland and the majority of scots love to see England/englishmen fail in sports?

Can I just point out that I have seen rooms full of scots supporting Henman, although I don't know a whole load of tennis fans north of the border. F1 is exactly the same as tennis in that individuals compete for individual prizes, all under the british flag. And in this case, I do know a whole lot of F1 fans north of the border, some I know well, others met and discussed F1 in passing, and almost every single one of them supports Hamilton, Button and McLaren.

And come the olympics they'll be supporting British athletes, whichever individual nation they come from too. Which brings me to an aside, are you going to be supporting Federer at the olympics?

But that's why he has Ivan Lendl to teach him how to handle the pressure and finally win a final. Didn't Ivan have a 0/4 for finals until be finally won so hopefully he can help Murray do the same.

I will be yes.

Lendl is as stoney faced and emotionless as Murray, however lendl is quiet strong minded and mentally tough. Maybe it will of rubbed off on Murray and give him that mental edge to get him a major win.

Lol, so your a glory supporter then?

Well what do you want me to say? you clearly have come to that conclusion and your mind is set. I cba to argue with people like you. I dont support a brit in a certain sport due to certain circumstances. Like it or lump it as it really is that simple.

Sarcasm, doesnt work on me, but good try.

So, if we would put the bickering aside, who do we think will win the womens final today?
The Polish lady is in good form, though Serena is clearly a big game player.

Congrats to Murray for making the final but i have a feeling that Federer will destroy him. Was surprised that Fed made it to the final, had my money on Novak getting to the final but proves that Federer isnt quite done yet.

Should be an interesting final tommorrow, as im a huge Federer fan i want him to win but wouldnt be such a bad thing if Murray finally breaks his duck in the majors and wins Wimbeldon.

But i think Federer will win it, will probably be an epic match but im firmly behind Federer to win Wimbeldon again.

Dont say your a Federer fan mate, your not allowed to be. People wrote Roger off, saying his best is behind him, on the most part they may be true, he's 30? now and thats old in tennis terms i guess. I think he is giving it his all as he knows he hasnt got much time at the top left.

Personally, I don't think Federer is any worse/better than he was when he was dominating the sport.

I think what has changed is the arrival of Nadal and a few years later, Djokovic.

Without those 2, Federer would've been winning titles/slams at exactly the same rate as he was winning them, when he was the World No.1.

I personally think that he has maintained his level (perhaps he has even raised his game over the last few years), but Nadal and Djo have managed to get in on the action and happen to be one of the best players of all time.

Normally, players like McEnroe, Borg, Connors, Nadal, Sampras, Agassi, Fed, Djo, etc come along one or 2 at a time. It is very rare that you get 3 big guns, all competing at the peak of their powers, at the same time (which is what we have right now (Djo, Nad, Fed).
