PC games sales up 230%. Console game sales down 28%

consoles will die first thats for sure. as much as console peasants do not like to admit they are completely irrelevant and expendable .

sales of video-game hardware -- a.k.a consoles -- software and even accessories fell for a sixth consecutive month in May, tumbling 28% from a year earlier to $517 million. And with the release of Blizzard's (ATVI) Diablo III, May also saw the first time since July 2010 that the top-selling game was a PC-only title. That boosted PC video games sales up year-over-year to 230% or $80 million.

Considering there have been no new consoles for ages that is still a ridiculous gap!

If you ignore the percentages which aren't particularly useful in this instance, PC is still lagging somewhat.

It isn't an exclusive club by the way. You can enjoy in equal measure PC gaming and Console gaming. This ridiculous internet battle between the 2 is pointless.

It must include digital sales, I doubt Blizzard manufactured $40m worth of retail discs?

I'm thinking about starting a thread called.....

PC GAMING IS DYING!!?!?!??!!!

Then have pointless quotes from some unknown person say nothing useful with no facts :)

Obviously, with a $437 million lead over console sales, it is about time developers give up on the PC. I am tired of the PC holding back consoles as developers have to think "you know we will be forced to port this to pc" everytime they do something. :D
