I imagine it's very easy for a cyclist to push themselves into the red on high profile/high pressure stages such as individual time trials.

I suspect now that the peleton will start to take Wiggins seriously. I've been getting the impression that the likes of Nibali and maybe even Evans thought he had no chance when the screw was turned. Only thing that will stop him now is a crash or injury, or some impressive tactics by the others in the peleton to isolate Wiggins, and judging by whats happened I can't see it happening. Its Sky's and Wiggins' to loose now.

Weds is going to be really, really tasty. Will wiggins just hang on Evans' wheel, or even let him take a few seconds? There's going to have to be some massive attacks from the GC riders that's for sure!

Great but not unexpected win by Wiggins today and a well deserved rest day tomorrow. The first real test will be Wednesday through Friday, if he's still in yellow then he should be on the way to winning.
