Palit GeForce GTX 670 Jetstream 2048MB

Looks a decent purchase.. Pre overclocked and decent cooler.

Wondered if anyone has one would recommened over any other 670?

At £311, can't really grumble.

From techPowerUp:

•Good performance increase over last generation
•Overclocked out of the box, matches GTX 680
•Very power efficient
•Good overclocking potential
•Fair price
•Up to four active displays now, makes surround possible with one card
•Support for PCI-Express 3.0 and DirectX 11.1
•Support for CUDA and PhysX

•3D Noise levels not improved
•2 1/2 slot design not for all
•Memory not cooled
•Dynamic OC can't be turned off
•Manual overclocking more complicated than before
•No technology similar to AMD's ZeroCore power

Bit concerned over memory cooling?

or the Gainward GeForce GTX 670 Phantom 2048MB

from techspot:

Pros: Performance matches more expensive cards, behaves like a true high-end board, and overclocks like a champ. Great value at its intended price point. Gainward's cooling works flawlessly.

Cons: Availability remains a concern with latest Nvidia cards, which can potentially affect pricing and value. edit - doesn't seem a problem now.

The palit jetstream, gigabyte windforce and evga ftw are the 3 best ones in my opinion. There is also the Inno3D iChiLL GTX 670 HerculeZ 3000 Edition (lol name) and the
ZOTAC GTX 670 TwinCooler which should be released soon.

Bah, your to slow! You could have had the EVGA GTX670 2Gb for £299 with it's three year warranty if you were buying last weak.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Gigabyte GeForce GTX 670 Windforce 3X 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £339.95
1 x KFA2 GeForce GTX 670 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £299.99
Total : £651.34 (includes shipping : £9.50).

I would go for either of those but would prefer the Gigabyte over the KFA2 purely for the feedback given on that card in this forum.

Both cards will have a good RMA turnaround time if anything goes wrong also.

AS he says go with the AIB's that give you a decent warranty, if you not planning on watercooling the Gigabyte is worth the cost due to 3 year UK based warranty, GTX680 PCB and custom cooler. If you are watercooling you may want to get the cheaper of the cards or get an EVGA who allow you to watercool and not void the warranty.

I completely missed that. Thanks

The Windforce does seem like, and I quote, the best all rounder and should OC to 1059 easily enough. I will be running with the cooloer for a few months before replacing with waterblock.

I personally would steer clear of all pallit/gainward cards in future, every one I've had has been a complete lemon when it comes to OC - funny how review samples are always top end though

I've got 2 EVGA cards and they OC well and are quiet at the same time... can't wait to see what they do on water
having said that, the price on them seems to have gone back up on OCUK, thought they were 299 last time I checked

It's cool running, no need for a water block! Only downside is the price.......

:p

Seriously though the windforce seems to have some nice specs and you can't go wrong with gigabyte.

(sorry for hijack) I currently have a 1G 5870 would I see a significant improvement with a GTX670 ?

I need a card with 2 DVI ports and DP as I run 3 screens (Dell 2007P - Dell 3008 - Dell 2007P) but only in desktop, I only game at 1920 x 1200 but I need the 3 screens for work. The lack of 2 DVI ports is what is putting me off the AMD stuff this time.
