***The Official Samsung Galaxy S III Thread***

Its annoying me that the S3 doesnt make a noise when its taken a photo , im sure it did once upon a time,is there a setting anywhere for that ? i prefer a noise so i know a pic has been taken
 
Samsung's own offers and store. You can't update Samsung store based apps using Android Market as they're not linked. Stick to Google's unelss there's a free app that's not free on Google's.

It is a great phone and operating system. Is it your first Android?
 
I'm still away at the moment so haven't had a really good play yet, but my early impressions are that it gives the One X a bit of a pasting... :eek:

I'm quite fond of the design now as well, despite not liking it at first. I sort of get what they were going for with it.

I also like the new TouchWiz... :o

Do you prefer it more than sense V4, overall? In your opinion, what do you think of the camera UI/features of touchwiz compared to sense V4 camera?


In what ways does it give the one X "a bit of a pasting"?


How is the battery life so far?

The absolutely best thing about it though is being able to show the notification bar with a swipe while in a full screen app. This means you can game, get mor escreen space in the browser and other things and not have to worry about having to HOME<>TASK SWITCH around to see notifications or adjust brightness etc.

Brilliant feature.
 
Can anybody help with this? My smart stay doesn't seem to work, even if I'm staring straight at it in good light it still shuts down.

Anybody have this issue? Is there a fix for it or do I have a faulty phone?

The only thing i miss about Sense is the weather widget, Touchwiz weather widget is ok but not as good as the Sense weather/clock widget. Thats about the only thing i miss about Sense, its nice but i dont think its that well optimised although i have used previous Sense versions and Sense 4 is much better but still compared to Touchwiz, i actually prefer the all round smoothness of Touchwiz over Sense.

I know people say the One X is better built ie feels better in the hand but i honestly think the SGS3 feels much much nicer in the hand.
