Chris Moyles leaves Radio 1

No great loss to my life in that I think he's rubbish as a radio presenter but then again I very rarely listen to the radio anyway unless I'm in the car so it affects me little enough as it is. My main worry would be that they'll somehow find someone worse to replace him with.
 
Is his talentless stalker Fern Cotton going to leave as well? Can't stand her either and it seems to me that she got the job by becoming mates with Moyles.
 
whenever I turn on to Radio 1 on my drive to work (approx 1 hour) its him always yapping and no music.

Time for a change imo, but fair play to him setting the record for longest serving Radio 1 presenter...so far! ;)
 
One thing Chris Moyles always did was put a bit of effort into his shows. I don't think it's just talk when he says he's a big geek about the technical side. That alone lifts him above the likes of Fearne Cotton who still needs three producers on hand to push all the buttons for her despite several years in the job.
The Greg James Self Agrandisement Project seems to involve no more than recycling other DJ's old features. I now listen to PM on Radio 4 on the drive home.
And don't get me started on the shambles that is Vernon Kay.
Nick Grimshaw? He won't last more than three weeks having to get up at that time.

I'm off to get a digital plug-in so I can listen to 6music or Kerrang from now on. I'm 33 so the demographic shifting is clearly working.
 
Chris Moyles is funny sometimes.

a lot of the hatred towards him is just general public opinion and some people jump on that band wagon because they are too ridiculous to form a personal opinion.

The fact he turned the Radio 1 breakfast show into something that is quite popular obviously means that people liking it out numbers the people that dont.

I used to listen to Radio 1 quite a bit but it seems like you need to be 18 and at uni to fully enjoy it now. being 25 and not in uni... Im not included :)
 
Great news, finally can listen to radio 1 in the morning without listening to that fat annoying ****!
 
Yeah, people that complain about him talking all the time and very little music, that's why most of us listen. As also pointed out, he hasn't been fat for ages.
 
He just blabs on with his crappy stories and annoying voice. Can't stand him.

Still looks pretty lardy to me as well.

I don't enjoy his radio personality. He strikes me as being quite an intelligent man, but he clearly dumbs down himself and the radio show to achieve a wider audience.

I used to listen to the show for a while, not out of choice. I listened to him do that really long show for a while though.

As I said though, nothing to say about his weight or such trivial matters, I just didn't enjoy his radio personality / how he dummbed down his show.
 
Why does a persons weight matter?

You're can't hear the fat on the radio, I at least dislike him for reasons explained.
 
Gilly only loves him because he's from Leeds :p

Anywhere else and he would think he was a fat, up his own arse, **** anyway :D

And as Moyles was happy to make his little statement about Polish people a couple of years back, I'll happily continue calling him a fat ****.
