660TI in August, Based on GK104 (7 SMX units)

25% :O no idea what this actually means but sounds like a decent chunk!

Always wondered what "Ti" stands for...

lol not sure if Ti stands for anything, its just a branding to say speedy or something

i wonder the size of the card, the 670 bare card looks pretty small as it is, could be a really nice card this

Am looking forward to this, if it's great bang for buck I'd be interested directly but even if not then hopefully it'll keep pushing the 7850 costs down :)

If these specs are correct then i think it will be up against a 7850 both in terms of performance and price. 1.5GB may be a bit small for some which is something we will have to bear in mind.

Lets just hope they put some good overclocking memory on these, as the kepler cards respond well to memory bandwidth. Also remains to be seen what clocks the core is released and what the voltage is locked to. Hurry up Nvidia!

Are you thinking around the £200 mark then?

Probably more around the ~£250 mark if it's at $299. Will go up against the 7800 series nicely.

Really?

You can pick up a 7850 for £190 and 7870 for under £230 already and the 670 is shy of £300.

Obv. depends just how good this card is but I was really hoping for Nvidia to mix things up in the mid-range price bracket, they really don't have a decent offering at the moment unless you look at the 560Ti and that's are overpriced for the performance.

I think it will be more up against the 7850 in the £180-200 bracket, just guessing though. That bandwidth and ROP cut is going to have a serious performance hit compared to the 670, and I dont think the 7870 is selling that well as its too close to a 7950 in price.

ALthough I cant see nvidia being too keen on selling a 296mm die for £180 though, will be interesting when nthis comes out.

if this 660ti is aiming to hit around the same price points as the 560ti did then it will probably launch just over 200 and then slide under it, just like 680/670 have started above 400 and 300 respectively and then hit below on special deals etc.

Hmmmmm, a couple of the 660tTi's in SLI is something to consider...
Especially for around the same price as a 670.

2 X 660TI's will be 680 price, especially at launch and then maybe some. My old 560TI was a cracking card though and served me well for 18 months ish. Hopefully the 660TI will do the same in this generation.

very excited to see what these perform like, one to replace my aging 6950 to start, and maybe SLI with my bonus at the start of next year :)

hoping that a single one will near enough match a 580, and hopefully with plenty of OC headroom!
