well it looks like he's west ham bound if he's going anywhere (on loan) and i'd say there is very high chance you offered him to spurs.

I'd be surprised if he's loaned at all and completely shocked if he's loaned to Spurs. Explain the logic of Liverpool loaning Carroll to a team they're competing with?

Regarding the Carroll situation in general, he's not somebody that strikes you as a player that fits into how we expect Rodgers will want to play so it's very possible that the club would be willing to let him go. The only advantage I see in letting him go on loan is saving his wages for a season but in my opinion, I'd rather keep him even as a squad player for the sake of a few £m. I've seem people talk about loaning him out to protect his transfer value but more often than not, it damages their value as clubs know you're looking to get shot of the player. If a decent offer comes in it wouldn't be a surprise if he's sold but a loan is probably the least likely outcome in my opinion and certainly to a club like Spurs.

Probably more a case of putting him in the shop window for a season to sell him next year to a club. Dont think anybody would risk a purchase of any Carroll currently for the supposed 15m asking price.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Andre Villas-Boas has admitted he wants to sign Emmanuel Adebayor and Porto midfielder Joao Moutinho.

In his first interview since joining the north London club, Villas-Boas also revealed that he's not interested in bringing Liverpool striker Andy Carroll to White Hart Lane, and that Luka Modric could be on his way out of Tottenham, but only "for the right price".

The new Spurs boss admitted that negotiations regarding Modric were ongoing, suggesting that Joao Moutinho could join the club as a replacement for the Croatian star.

"The interest that we have from various different clubs shows the importance of the player [Modric] and what he's done for Tottenham," said Villas-Boas. "Ongoing discussions will continue with these clubs until we reach an agreement which is acceptable for each party."

The diminutive Spurs playmaker was in great form for the north London club last season and has been courted by a number of top clubs, including Villas-Boas' previous employers Chelsea. But the new Tottenham chief also paid tribute to Emmanuel Adebayor's performances for Spurs last year, and revealed he would be looking to bring the City striker back next season.

"Adebayor is another player who was important for Spurs last season and it will be a lie if I say we are not looking for a striker and Ade is part of that list," said AVB.

But it turns out that his list does not include Liverpool forward Andy Carroll. The Anfield club are reportedly keen to send the England striker out on loan, but Villas-Boas insisted he is not interested in signing Carroll.

"I'm not sure of Liverpool's intentions on Andy Carroll but it's certainly not a player we are looking for," said the Tottenham manager.

This was mentioned a couple of pages back but do you seriously have to post the entire articles like that?

It's just pointless. Post an important snippet and a link to the article, sure, that's great, but just posting it like that is silly.

Wouldn't want Carroll, even if it's on loan, cant see it happening with AVB. Just glad we don't have Redknapp anymore as he is exactly the type of player he would go for.

flipping heck, until a mod says otherwise, i'll post like that.

why don't you post some transfer news instead?

I don't have any news to post and when I do post articles I either post snippets or highlight things in bold.

Posting it all like that because you were asked to post a 'link' or 'source' is a bit silly.

I also when posting news/info post a comment on how I feel about the matter etc, you know, something actually useful rather than just plopping an entire article and nothing else...

yeh great. you do what you want to do, i'll do what i want to do. you could always put me on ignore.

At least FFP is now once and for all proven to be nothing.

AC will now come in for any of Dzeko, Tevez or Kolarov. I won't be happy to see any of them leave but Mancini knows what he is doing.

In other big money deals, Fulham are in negotiations with Rodallega for personal terms - visited the training ground earlier in the week.
