Metal Gear Solid 4 trophy support.....finally!

I would love it if they let you install the game in its entirety. There's a lot of high-storage PS3s out there, and I think it would be a smart move.
Doing so would enable the game to have a boss rush mode like earlier titles in the series too. There is definitely a lot of potential for the re-release of the game in August and I hope they don't fluff it up.

I got stuck here months ago (no kill, no alert playthrough) and didn't go back till last night - ended up using a sniper rifle from under the truck, anywho - finished tonight - no alerts, no kills, and all dolls collected :) Now have the stealth camo, solar gun & bandana for my next playthrough :D

Also, have been watching way to much Metal Gear here:
 
Now this might be a daft question but is this concrete, 110% solid proof?

This has been mentioned many times over the years and it's never been implemented, why they hell would they put them in now?

From the official Konami Facebook page: "The long-awaited Trophy patch to Metal Gear Solid 4 is in development! This will coincide with a new budget-priced version of the game with Trophy support. We will continue to update this page as details become available, coming soon."

Your new to trophy/achievements? They are rewarded to players for completing in game tasks - they give the game more replay value and set goals for players to achieve.

Lots of gamers love to have trophys so when trophys come to one of the best games out there its good news...

Kojima Productions has confirmed that Metal Gear Solid 4's upcoming patch will include not just Trophy support but full install functionality as well.

While the Trophy support was confirmed earlier, the wording at the official site suggested that the install functionality would be limited to the game's package re-release. This is not the case.

Select to give the game a full install, and you won't have to wait between chapters for data to be cached to your system's hard disc. This lengthy caching, which was accompanied by an image of Solid Snake smoking, was a major complaint by players.

The budget re-release that includes the new functionality by default will be released in early August. The patch for current owners will also be offered around this time.

Must dust off my PS3 for this. Always enjoyed the MGS series. Think I might have to get a new HDD for it as well, still using the 60GB that came with it when it was released.
