So a bunch of ***** travellers have just occupied a space of land not 200m from our village house.

Now, I wouldn't jump to conclusions except I have ALREADY seen one of them driving slowly up and down our street eyeing up houses and gardens to break into.

I'm thinking of nuking the site from orbit?

I don't have anything against peoples choices of lifestyle per se, however their lifestyle choice is to steal and leave behind filth and rubbish everywhere.

If I find that someone in the village has been broken into (hasn't happened in literally 20 years) then I am seriously going to wreck their entire camp.

Filthy scum.

Arm yourselves with clubs and forks lads. We may need to hire a coach to come and give our fellow GDer a helping hand.

I really do feel for people who have ****** settle near them. Straight away nothing is safe, the area takes a dive and the local pub quickly becomes a no go area.

However, I would STRONGLY advise against confrontation unless you are the UK's most feared gangster. Which I doubt you are.

Basically I have never locked my car where it is parked in years ... I will now have to. Along with the garage... windows ....

Can't they just all ******* die and leave us all in peace.

Actually can we do this?? There only seems to be around 5 or so small caravans (not a large infestation).

I reckon 10 guys, 2 flamethrowers, etc would do the trick!

You'll be amazed at how many they can fit in a caravan. Even then, one swift call and they'll be down in their hundreds.

Op,Have you contacted the police/local council?

They might not have permission to be on the land,Get em shifted.

Some travelers rock up and make camp on the green near my workplace (Business park) the Police are usually there within a few hours of them arriving. Check with the council first.

A solution to the problem may be found in here.

Nice thought!, bit extreme though ;)

They don't, they broke a padlocked gate to get into it. I will contact the police and council tomorrow.

Why not now. Police are open 24hrs. Not so much the council but if they've broken locks to gain entry then that's a minimum criminal damage, enough for the police to shift em.
