My day consisted of driving to Festival Pier, loading drums onto a boat this morning, MV King Edward, parking the car in the hayward gallery car park, at 1pm sailing up and down the thames in beautiful weather, playing music with a trio to entertain people from BP who were having a paid team building day out, going past all the major buildings along the thames (including the shard which I've not seen up close before, it's pretty impressive), going through the thames barrier, getting fed nice food and drinks for free including some tasty lemon cheese cake, returning at 4.45pm and going home. The only hard part was lugging all our gear on trolleys from car to the boat and back again. It did rain but fortunately only towards the end of the trip. It was a nice day out and good pay too. :p I get my congestion charge and car parking refunded which is a bonus.
How was your day? :)

Did a system update then stood in a field stopping kids from going to the toilet (sounds dodgy but I work in a school and it was Sports Day and they decided that instead of going to the toilet during lunch break, they would go 5mins after).

After all that excitement I went to the gym, got stuck in traffic, bought some salad and baked beans and had an omelet for tea.

Oh what an exciting day.

Yes, not bad, but I still win :p

went to work, put an offer in on a house, sorting out photos tonight for the footballs promotional flyer this evening. tonight will be charge up camera for weekend photos for the Harley Davidson festival thingy thats rolling into town followed by footy photos and a fun day at the glebe on the sunday. Just a normal day for me :D

Went to the hell hole that is reading, can't stand that place. Another department of same company kicked us out their car park as well. Thoroughly unpleasant day and traffic jams.

Finished off my food thread and have to go sort out some work stuff for an ~hour in a bit.

Found out that for some reason that skydrive hasnt been uploading my files, over the last few days, as been away with work, so left comp on to upload over 50GB. So annoyed at that.

Was out till the wee hours this morning and then down in Belfast watching the parades after a few hours kip. Got the hell out of dodge before the return parades rioting kicked off and caused traffic chaos.

Well Merlin, your boat would have gone straight past my office where I was labouring away all day at my desk.

However I did take time out to go get a nice slab of lasagne and watch the Swiss put this together. Well not them, builders/contractors.

Had a quick check of the basement chillers, complaints of vibration, slight adjustment on the hot gas and this settled it down. Got a model and serial off a machine.

Looked at a split which was not working, seemed to throw a wobbler, got it Working ok.

Went to Tool Station to pick a part up for my Dad, he wrote the wrong number down so had find the correct number.

Finally continued to decant one system of one of the chillers we look after 100kg of gas out 150kg to go.

My day off but was up for 9.30am and drove my brother to 3 places then to his work with the stock we had got. Went out on my bike for two hours then met my dad at my grans.

Next up it was cutting the front hedges, fixing dodgy slabs and finishing with cutting the back garden hedge that was about 10ft tall.

Once I cycled home from there I had to bag the rubbish in our bins and take it to the dump as for some reason it wasn't collected.

After the dump I had to pick my mum up from work at 6pm so I went and got myself a McDonalds for dinner and ate that whilst listening to some rolling stones in the car park.

Finally I took my mum to drop something at her mums and got home at half six.

Just another day off spent helping other people out. Can't wait for a week off to have some me time.

An easy day @ work and then I went to the sports centre for a workout. Good fun as always. And now discovered fridge = empty.

Hate hate hate hate grocery runs :(
