My day consisted of driving to Festival Pier, loading drums onto a boat this morning, MV King Edward, parking the car in the hayward gallery car park, at 1pm sailing up and down the thames in beautiful weather, playing music with a trio to entertain people from BP who were having a paid team building day out, going past all the major buildings along the thames (including the shard which I've not seen up close before, it's pretty impressive), going through the thames barrier, getting fed nice food and drinks for free including some tasty lemon cheese cake, returning at 4.45pm and going home. The only hard part was lugging all our gear on trolleys from car to the boat and back again. It did rain but fortunately only towards the end of the trip. It was a nice day out and good pay too.
I get my congestion charge and car parking refunded which is a bonus.
