Off on a stag do to Newcastle this weekend, i've never been personally but we'll be starting off quayside. Just after some recommendations for bars/clubs really... and obviously the ones to avoid :D

Thanks!

Avoid digital like the plague... and if I didn't make myself clear enough... DON'T GO TO ******* DIGITAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely awful night there... Friend dragged a couple of us there as he wanted to go to a nightclub. The bouncer turned a group of guys away just before us saying they were too drunk (they weren't), only if the same had happened to us I might have had a good night!

I've been to Digital 3 times and I loved it. Absolutely fantastic sound system and the lighting behind the DJ booth is great too.

I wouldn't go on any night that they're not playing trance though.

the gates not bad, You have riverside down by the quayside if you want to go clubbing but generally just go to where the music sounds good. Theres gotham town next to the train station if your into more rocky venues and legends. Then theres market vaults in the big market if your into more charty music. Just beware around big market as there is a few chavvy dives around there such as blu bambu. Quaysides a good bet for most things though, some descent bars and clubs down there.

Digital is really good if you like clubs, up to international club standards really, also riverside is a good club. Gotham town stinks of **** do not go.

Digital is definitely worth a visit if you like clubs. Pretty much the best club I've visited within the country. There's another bar nearby as well which sells triple shots for a couple of quid but I can't for the life of me remember it's name :/

I went last year in March, its just another city, but everyone is sound.

Generic bars from what I saw, went for a stag do, had a great time, locals are mint, never saw a fight or altercation.

If you fancy a laugh, go to Northumberland.

^^ Fixed.

Seriously, a night out in Newcastle? Just call it what it is: a land-based whaling expedition.

Thar she blows!

It really depends what you're looking for. If you want the traditional dance music, chavs everywhere, cheap shots, girls dress in very little and possible fight then go to The Gate or the Big Market. Want Rock music then go to Trillians and Legends. If you want nicer bars with good beer then try The Bacchus, Lady Grey, Brew Dog, The Forth, Town Wall, Tilleys and Bodega.

Digital is good on certian nights, wouldn't go for a random night if I didn't like the music, can be a bit poncey at time.

newcastle is filled with charvas that cant speak correctly
