Golden potato was for completing all 36 of the potatoes during the ARG. For the few people who did it, it used to show up actually on their profile:

What's the big deal?? Steam badges?

I had paid no notice to the summer sale 'King Of The Fort' badge. But it appears I have earned it. I also notice that a few people are proudly announcing their acheivement too. Is there supposed to be any kind of 'gift' associated with it?

You can print it off, take it to a badge making store and put it on your bag for work/school.

What is the point in any of these game achievements? Absolutely nothing but it makes some people happy.

Wouldn't surprise me if it eventually has one for "buy a game on every day of the sale".
