Holiday Trosuers, yes!

Yes i really am asking this one.

I go on holiday in 7 days time for the 1st time in 6 years.

So evening dress code calls for trousers. I only wear trousers when in a suite at work! Women can wear them linen things.

So what the hell can a bloke have thats smart and light weight

M&S, lots to choose from including lightweight ones for warm places. You can also buy suit trousers without the jacket.

Linen trousers are a good choice (although not in white, unless you want 'special' attention). Chinos also are nice but a bit heavier.

And why would you only wear them in a "suite"? What's wrong with wearing them in a normal hotel room?

Once you've resolved these important questions, try chinos or linen trousers depending on how lightweight you want to go. M&S is probably the best bet as others mentioned.

Zara have loads of really nice trousers, linen and chinos which are both smart and light for hot weather.

It's not really that difficult!
