FAO [TW] Fox BMW COMMIT HERESY?????

Am I the only one who is hoping the straight 6 N/A still hangs around ? :(

No. I have two of them just in case.

Such a good engine the old straight six, I hope it isn't lost.

In other news, I was at some GT86 pre-launch do last night (with about 11 other people in total!!) and they were going on about toyota and bmw working together at the moment due to toyota sharing some engine tech with BMW and BMW sharing some composite materials and the current six series platform with BMW.

So are we going to end up with a new 3JZ-GTE 6 series type car in the coming years? That would be sweet!

Does anybody think BMW are losing it a bit? I mean their motoring heritage, brand? Or is the hand being forced by EU laws?

A tri-turbo diesel? I think I remember reading an article on a 1-litre(ish) sized engine too?

Lol i think you're hoping in vain their. The N/A straight-6 is gone already isn't it? I can't think of anything that BMW currently use it in?

F10 530i?
125i coupe and cab?
E92/3 330i? 325i?

Ah yeah. I know i didn't say this before - but i meant for the new models (F Series). :) The it appears the F10 is the only one of the new models to feature the NA Straight 6. Can't see it sticking around for much longer though. :(

No doubt you know this, but the Z4 doesn't use an 3.0l N/A in this country - which is what i was presuming pepsilol meant?
