As people are wondering about the voice thing, things ive found to work:

say 'google' first.

Play Daft Punk
Play DJ Shadow
Send message to Bob, hello bob
Wheres the nearest chippy?
Set alarm for 3pm
How tall is the eiffel tower?
How old is Katy Perry?

Its quite useful for me,especially at work when i have nasty shizz on my hands, thats why s voice is good, i can wake it by voice.

No calendar and still predominantly web searches. Glad its not just me

If I do that and use Google UK as the search I get the card with no picture.

If I use Google.com I get the picture, but if I ask the weather I get Washington.

Frustrating.
 
Really considering getting a Nexus as an upgrade over my Desire HD, kinda sick of how long it takes for custom versions of android to be updated etc, has anyone else done a similar upgrade and how much of an upgrade is it?
 
Google Now just doesn't work that great in all honesty.

Running the yakju 4.1.1 official OTA and was expecting it to be in a better working order for markets outside of the US, but that's not the case.
 
I've found Google Now quite underwhelming so far. The Voice Assistant is fairly rubbish, Siri and even S-Voice are both better (despite being a tad slower).

What was cool was I left the supermarket tonight and got in my car, had a notification from now with traffic and directions home without any prompt.

Can you paraphrase?
As im not even sure what you mean "card with no picture" and "use Google.com I get the picture"?
