Which car?

Considering your love of track days/palmersport days I suggest keeping your current car.
Then buy a single seater, get your ARDS and start racing. It'll put more smiles on your face than any of the above cars as great as they are!

I would take the gt3 every time I think, although I kind of like the idea of the gt2 aswell but after past experience think that it's nickname is probably not lost on me.

gt3 tbh! :) the other two are a bit meh a bit too refined.. + being awd you lose a lot of fun no matter what numbers they achieve :)

Nath mentioned that when he sat in the aventador at geneva, he noticed that the window controls were identical to those of the VW polo that was his first car.

now, i LOVE the aventador. but that would bug me.

Sat in a Lotus recently? Most parts* are from 1980-1990s Corsas!

*admittedly there aren't many parts in a Lotus to begin with...

Unexpectedly, I would put my cash (assuming my upper limit was £50k) in an Audi R8. The build quality, running costs and reliability have been praised by owners whom I know. Anecdotal evidence yes, but just the same as 95% of the people saying the 911/GTR because <insert excuse>.

Only REAL downside to the R8 is that it is a wide beast, and depending on where you drive and where you park, this could pose a problem.

If you like driving, I mean getting up into the mountains and simply going from apex to apex at pace whilst feeling an engine sing up to 8400rpm and getting feedback on everything the car is doing but also a chassis that means you need to know what you are doing to exploit it, i.e. it doesn't take away the challenge to a huge amount you'll chose the 911 GT3. If you want to impress people down duel carriageways, impress hoodies and young lads and carry the absolute ultimate pace at all times you'll chose the GTR. If you want to pull birds get the R8 as they LUV em!

Only REAL downside to the R8 is that it is a wide beast, and depending on where you drive and where you park, this could pose a problem.

GTR is also MASSIVE it doesn't look that big til you get up close and personal then you realise its actually a BIG car. The porsche is probably the only option if space is a consideration.

but then I remind myself it's a car you can launch control over and over and over and still keep warranty intact

Er, didn't doing that actually result in quickly destroyed transmissions not covered under warranty, then they got sued about it and lost so they removed the feature altogether, then reintroduced it but you can only use it like a few times or something before it's disabled? Something like that.

I'd still choose the GTR though.

Or a Roush Mustang or Dodge Challenger.

Yep nail on head!

R8 has best noise and is the most bling!
GTR is the quickest A-B road car in existence!
911 gives the most feedback and an untouchable driving experience I feel.

That's about right. remember R8s can be quite lardy with a few options - many are getting to 1600kgs. Lovely as a GT car though.

You're not going to beat a GT3 as a drivers car...
